Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To help the Store Manager run the store efficiently and deliver excellent service. This involves driving sales, building customer loyalty, and meeting sales, profit, and compliance goals to create a competitive advantage for the brand.

Job Objectives:

  • Help achieve the store’s financial goals by maximizing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and great customer service from the team.
  • Manage all store operations efficiently, including expenses, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Set up in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s look aligned with the brand image.
  • Support the Store Manager in motivating staff, helping them reach targets and goals, and managing the team when the manager is away.
  • Assist in creating daily work schedules according to the group’s labour policy to ensure all departments are fully staffed.
  • Carry out customer service programs that create a positive experience, build loyalty, and meet club card targets.
  • Handle all administrative tasks efficiently, such as submitting weekly time and attendance records and employee information to HR.
  • Support the group’s vision to be the top choice for health and beauty retail by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12 (with at least 50% in Maths and English)
  • Essential: Relevant qualification in Retail or Business Management (for external applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Retail or Business Management
  • At least 2 years in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience in financial management (such as budgets, profit and loss statements, and financial ratios)

Job Knowledge and Skills:

  • Retail or FMCG background, including knowledge of merchandising and promotions
  • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance procedures
