Job Description
Job Purpose:
- To assist the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering top service. This involves driving sales, building customer loyalty, and meeting sales, profit, and compliance goals to strengthen the brand’s position.
Job Objectives:
- Achieve the store’s financial goals by boosting sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and excellent customer service across the team.
- Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock control, loss prevention, cleaning, and administration.
- Set up in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s look aligned with the brand.
- Help the Store Manager motivate and guide staff to hit targets. Manage the team effectively when the Store Manager is away.
- Assist in creating daily work schedules that follow company labour policies and ensure all departments are fully staffed.
- Carry out customer service plans that create positive experiences, build loyalty, and meet club card sign-up targets.
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently, such as tracking time and attendance and keeping employee records up to date for HR.
- Support the company’s goal to be the top choice for health and beauty by embracing and promoting company values.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Essential: Grade 12 (at least 50% in Maths and English)
- Essential: Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
- Desirable: Degree in Retail or Business Management
- At least 2 years in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
- Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios, etc.)
Job Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of financial management basics
- Retail or FMCG background, including merchandising and promotions
- Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance processes
- Skills in delivering excellent customer service
