Job Purpose

To support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering excellent service. This role involves driving sales and building customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets, creating a competitive advantage for the brand.

Job Objectives

  • Achieve the store’s financial goals by driving sales and maximizing them through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and superior customer service from the team.
  • Handle all store operations efficiently, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Execute in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s appearance aligned with the brand image.
  • Support the Store Manager in motivating and directing staff to reach targets and manage the team effectively when the manager is absent.
  • Help maintain daily work schedules according to the group’s labour policy and model to ensure all departments are fully staffed.
  • Implement customer service initiatives that create a great experience, build loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, such as completing and submitting weekly time, attendance, and employee records to HR.
  • Promote the brand as the customer’s top choice for health and beauty by embodying and driving the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Essential: Grade 12 (with at least 50% in Maths and English)
  • Essential: Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Retail or Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG operations, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)
