Assistant Store Manager – Clicks Riverwalk Shopping Centre (Potchefstroom)

Job Purpose

Support the Store Manager in delivering operational efficiency, service excellence, and sales growth to achieve targets and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth through promotional execution, cross-selling, and customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Manage daily store operations, including stock control, expense management, and compliance.
  • Ensure visual merchandising aligns with brand standards for store presentation.
  • Assist in staff management, performance monitoring, and scheduling.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and employee records.
  • Uphold company values and operational policies.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Matric with 50% in Maths and English (required).
  • Retail/Business Management qualification (required for external candidates).
  • Degree in Retail/Business Management (preferred).
  • 2+ years in retail/FMCG assistant management or completion of Clicks’ Trainee Program.
  • Experience in financial management (budgets, profit/loss analysis).

  • Strong communication and numerical abilities.
  • Proficiency in labor legislation and staff management.
