Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To assist the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering top service by boosting sales and customer loyalty. This helps meet sales, profit, and compliance goals, creating an advantage for the brand.

Job Objectives:

  • Achieve the store’s financial goals by increasing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and great customer service across the team.
  • Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock control, loss prevention, cleaning, and admin tasks.
  • Set up in-store displays and promotions to meet standards and keep the store looking sharp in line with the brand.
  • Help the Store Manager motivate staff, guide them to hit targets, and manage the team when the manager is away.
  • Support creating daily work schedules that follow company labour policies to keep all areas fully staffed.
  • Run customer service programs that create positive experiences, build loyalty, and reach club card sign-up goals.
  • Manage admin duties efficiently, like submitting time records and employee files to HR weekly.
  • Promote the brand as the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Grade 12 (at least 50% in Maths and English)
  • Required: Relevant qualification in Retail or Business Management (for external applicants)
  • Preferred: Degree in Retail or Business Management
  • At least 1 year in an assistant store manager role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience with financial management (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios, etc.)
