Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering excellent service. This includes driving sales, building customer loyalty, meeting sales, profit, and compliance targets, and giving the brand a competitive advantage.

Job Objectives:

  • Achieve the store’s financial goals by maximizing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and providing superior customer service to the entire team.
  • Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Implement in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, ensuring the store’s appearance matches the brand image.
  • Support the Store Manager in motivating and guiding staff to reach targets and performance goals, and manage the team when the Store Manager is away.
  • Help maintain daily work schedules according to the Group’s labour policy and model to ensure all departments are fully staffed.
  • Carry out customer service initiatives that create a positive experience, build loyalty, and meet club card participation targets.
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including weekly time and attendance records and employee documentation for HR.
  • Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice for health and beauty retail by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Retail/Business Management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an assistant store management role in retail/FMCG operations, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)
