Job Purpose

To support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering excellent service. This involves driving sales, building customer loyalty, and meeting sales, profit, and compliance targets to strengthen the brand’s position.

Job Objectives

  • Help achieve the store’s financial goals by maximizing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and top-notch customer service for the whole team.
  • Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Set up in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s look aligned with the brand image.
  • Support the Store Manager in motivating staff to hit targets and manage the team when the manager is away.
  • Help with daily work schedules to follow the company’s labour policy and ensure all departments are fully staffed.
  • Carry out customer service plans that create great experiences, build loyalty, and reach club card targets.
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, such as submitting weekly time and attendance records and employee files to HR.
  • Promote the brand as the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Grade 12 (with at least 50% in Maths and English)
  • Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Degree in Retail or Business Management (preferred)
  • At least 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios)
