Job Description
Job Purpose:
To support the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and delivering excellent service. This involves driving sales, building customer loyalty, and meeting sales, profit, and compliance targets to keep the brand competitive.
Job Objectives:
- Achieve the store’s financial goals by maximizing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and great customer service across the team.
- Handle all store operations smoothly, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.
- Set up in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s look aligned with the brand image.
- Help the Store Manager motivate and guide staff to hit their targets and manage the team when the Store Manager is away.
- Assist in creating daily work schedules that follow the company’s labour policy and ensure each department is fully staffed.
- Run customer service programs in the store to create positive experiences, boost loyalty, and meet club card sign-up goals.
- Manage all administrative tasks efficiently, such as weekly time and attendance records and employee files for HR.
- Promote the brand as the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%) – Essential
- Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants) – Essential
- Degree in Retail/Business Management – Desirable
- At least 1 year in an assistant store management role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
- Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios)
