Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist the Store Manager in running the store smoothly and delivering top service. This includes boosting sales and customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance goals, helping the brand stay ahead.

Job Objectives:

  • Achieve the store’s financial goals by increasing sales through promotions, cross-selling, up-selling, and great customer service by the team.
  • Handle all store operations efficiently, including expenses, stock control, reducing shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Set up in-store visual merchandising to meet presentation and promotion standards, keeping the store’s look aligned with the brand image.
  • Help the Store Manager motivate and guide staff to hit targets and manage the team when the manager is away.
  • Support in creating daily work schedules according to company labour policies to keep all departments fully staffed.
  • Run customer service programs that create positive experiences, build loyalty, and meet club card targets.
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently, such as submitting weekly time and attendance records to HR.
  • Promote the brand as the top choice for health and beauty by living the company values.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12 (at least 50% in Maths and English)
  • Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Degree in Retail or Business Management (preferred)
  • At least 1 year in an assistant store manager role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Experience in financial management (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios)
