Job Description

Job Purpose:

• Support the Store Manager in running the store smoothly. Focus on excellent service, driving sales, and building customer loyalty to hit sales, profit, and compliance goals. This helps give the brand a strong edge.

Job Objectives:

• Help the store meet financial targets by leading sales efforts. Run promotions, encourage cross-selling and up-selling, and ensure top-notch customer service from the team.
• Handle all store operations efficiently, including expenses, stock control, loss prevention, cleaning, and admin tasks.
• Set up in-store displays and promotions to meet brand standards and keep the store looking sharp.
• Support the Store Manager in motivating the team to reach goals. Step in to manage the store when needed.
• Help create daily work schedules that follow company labor rules and keep all areas fully staffed.
• Carry out customer service plans that create positive experiences, build loyalty, and meet club card sign-up targets.
• Manage admin duties well, like submitting time records and employee files to HR on time.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Required: Grade 12 (with 50% in Maths and English)
• Required: Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
• Preferred: Degree in Retail or Business Management
• At least 2 years in an assistant store manager role in retail or FMCG, or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
• Experience with financial management (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios)
