Job Summary
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and animal welfare systems in your area of responsibility.
- Support the QA Manager in overseeing quality control processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science and Technology.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent timekeeping skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct plant walks as required.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards and practices are maintained.
- Maintain the Quality Control Program.
- Keep a high level of hygiene throughout the processing plant.
- Report workers who do not adhere to required standards.
- Verify product specifications.
- Maintain food safety and quality systems.
- Follow up on corrective actions from external audits.
- Assist in third-party audits.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Assist with product trials, changes, and customer requirements.
- Responsible for KFC calibration – twice a year.
- Assist in approving or checking quality employee clockings.
- Help handle customer complaints.
- Handle all queries from service teams.
- Prepare quality monthly reports.
- Complete 6 sigma sheets.
- Ensure birds are processed according to animal welfare practices and standards.
