Assistant Manager Finance – Apex Group

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries and financial reporting
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare tax computations, revenue accruals, and intercompany account balancing
  • Generate management accounts and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate statutory audits and regulatory compliance reporting
  • Present financial results to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
  • 2-3 years audit experience at a professional firm
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
