Company Overview

Spur Corporation, a JSE-listed restaurant group headquartered in Cape Town, operates eight brands including Spur Steak Ranches, Panarottis Pizza Pasta, and The Hussar Grill. We’re seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Gauteng team.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Process supplier payments and monthly reconciliations
• Manage payroll processing and statutory deductions
• Prepare financial reports for Head Office and property partners

Human Resources

• Maintain employment contracts and work permit compliance
• Oversee leave management and staff onboarding
• Support recruitment and performance evaluation processes

Operations Management

• Monitor inventory levels and purchasing processes
• Manage supplier relationships and order fulfillment
• Ensure compliance with health/safety regulations

Marketing Support

• Coordinate local marketing initiatives and campaigns
• Monitor campaign performance and brand visibility
• Collaborate with creative teams on promotional materials

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field
• 3-5 years operational management experience
• Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software
• Knowledge of SA labor laws and OHSA compliance
• Valid driver’s license required
