Assistant Human Resources Practitioner (5-Month Contract)

Novus Holdings, a leading South African commercial printing and manufacturing group with headquarters in Cape Town, seeks a proactive HR professional to join our team on a fixed-term contract.

Position Summary

Support our HR department in Montague Gardens with operational HR functions including policy implementation, employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration. Contract period: 5 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support labor relations processes and disciplinary procedures
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes
  • Maintain accurate organizational structure documentation
  • Process payroll inputs and HR system updates
  • Prepare monthly HR reports and legislative compliance documents
  • Administer performance management processes

Requirements

Education:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources (Essential)

Experience:

  • 3+ years generalist HR experience
  • Proven track record in recruitment and employee relations

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail with deadline-driven approach
  • Proficient in HR information systems
