Assistant Fire Fighters (6 Positions)

Contract Position | Western Cape

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Age 18-35 years
  • Valid Code B/C1 driver’s license
  • Proficiency in two Western Cape official languages (Afrikaans/English/isiXhosa)
  • Clean criminal record (submit police clearance ≤3 months old)
  • Excellent physical/mental health
  • Team player with strong sense of responsibility
  • Local residents within Bergrivier municipality preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform firefighting and disaster management duties
  • Available for overtime/weekend rotations
  • Service provision across municipal area as needed

Employment Details:

Remuneration: R250 daily rate
Hours: 40-hour week with emergency call-outs
Contract Type: Fixed-term
