Position Summary:
Support the Finance Manager in overseeing full financial operations for our retail operations. Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management while leading a dedicated finance team.
Key Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience: 3+ years post-qualification (Retail/FMCG preferred)
- Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Core Responsibilities:
Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee daily financial processes including reconciliations, payments, and cash flow management
- Manage ERP system transactions and resolve financial queries
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations
- Lead audit processes and balance sheet reconciliations
Retail Financial Analysis:
- Monitor store performance metrics and inventory controls
- Identify cost optimization opportunities with operational teams
Team Leadership:
- Manage and develop finance team members
- Conduct performance reviews and training programs
Candidate Requirements:
- Completed SAICA articles (CA(SA) registration preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Proven leadership experience in financial teams
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
