Position Summary

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Experience: 3+ years (Supervisory level in SCM)
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in relevant field
License: Valid Code B driver’s license (or reliable transport for disabled applicants)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee bidding processes and procurement strategies
  • Develop and maintain supplier databases
  • Execute sourcing activities within National Treasury guidelines
  • Manage contract negotiations and service level agreements
  • Supervise team operations and compliance reporting

Essential Competencies

  • Deep understanding of:
    • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
    • Preferential Procurement Framework
    • Supply Chain Management best practices
  • Proficiency in government procurement systems (LOGIS, ITender, etc.)

Required Skills

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Effective team leadership and conflict resolution
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Sourcing strategy development expertise
