Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate
  • 3-year National Diploma/Degree (NQF 6/7) in Records Management, Information Science, or related field
  • 2-3 years relevant experience in records management (including 2 years at Archivist level)
  • Knowledge of National Archives Act, PAIA, and information security standards
  • TRC records experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process PAIA applications and manage sensitive records disclosure
  • Oversee TRC records access through collaboration with Justice Department
  • Maintain security protocols for classified materials (MISS compliance)
  • Supervise record management systems (AtoM archival database)
  • Manage secure reading room operations and researcher access
  • Maintain detailed tracking systems for classified document movements
