Assistant Director: Patient Affairs

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Public Management and Administration, plus 3 years’ supervisory experience in Patient Affairs.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, directives, and guidelines from the Gauteng Department of Health.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Patient Affairs scripts.
  • Computer literate.

Duties:

  • Implement and compile operational plans, strategic plans, and quarterly reviews for the section.
  • Ensure proper record keeping by following the Records Management Policy.
  • Set up systems to manage PAIA requests.
  • Interpret and implement mortuary prescripts and related guidelines.
  • Develop systems to maximize revenue collection for the institution.
  • Align individual performance with the section’s strategic objectives.
  • Apply the Labour Relations Act and Code of Conduct properly.
  • Submit accurate and reliable data to senior management.
