Assistant Director: Monitoring & Oversight – Ngaka Modiri Molema (X2 Posts)

Department: Community Safety & Transport Management
Location: North West Province
Salary: R582,444 per annum (Level 10)
Employment Type: Full-Time Position

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
  • National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Law
  • 3-5 years’ experience in safety/security oversight environment
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Valid EB (08) driver’s license

Required Knowledge

  • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) regulations
  • National Crime Prevention Strategies (NCPS/ICVPS)
  • SAPS policies and civilian oversight frameworks
  • Public Service Act and regulations

Essential Skills

  • Advanced investigative techniques

  • Project management capabilities
  • Conflict resolution strategies
  • Comprehensive report writing
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee SAPS civilian monitoring programs
  2. Manage community-police mediation processes
  3. Supervise complaint investigations Unit
  4. Implement court monitoring initiatives
  5. Analyze crime prevention strategies
  6. Prepare performance reports and statistics
  7. Manage departmental resources
