Qualifications Required:

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Natural Sciences (must enable HPCSA registration)
  • Preferred: Additional certification in Food Law, Legislative Drafting, or Policy Development

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years post-HPCSA registration experience in relevant field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update food safety legislation under FCD Act
  • Lead research initiatives on emerging food safety risks
  • Coordinate national food surveillance programs
  • Develop public education campaigns on food control
  • Manage World Food Safety Day initiatives
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and capacity building
