Assistant Director: Management Accounting (Ref: DEDAT 39/2025)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent
Salary Range: R468,459 – R561,894 per annum
Role Purpose
Lead financial oversight for departmental funds administration and expenditure management within the Economic Development and Tourism portfolio.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Accounting or Economics
- 3+ years financial management experience
- Valid driver’s license (Code B)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage fiscal operations for assigned programs
- Oversee budget execution and financial reporting
- Coordinate interdepartmental financial processes
- Ensure compliance with PFMA and Treasury regulations
Required Skills
- Expertise in government financial systems (BAS, SAP)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong numerical analysis capabilities
- Advanced written/verbal communication skills
