Position: Assistant Director: Legal, Governance, Risk & Compliance (REF: NSF01/05/2025)

Position Details

Employment Type: Contract

Experience Required: 3-5 years legal/risk management experience
Education: LLB Degree (Essential)
Field: Legal Services & Risk Management

Key Requirements

  • Admission as an Advocate or Attorney is preferred (not mandatory)
  • Proven expertise in constitutional/administrative law, contract law, and PSET legislation
  • 3+ years’ experience in governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of public sector regulatory environment
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies across NSF operations
  • Manage legal processes including contract reviews and litigation coordination
  • Prepare audit reports and recommendations for executive decision-making
  • Formulate policy guidelines aligned with legislative requirements
  • Provide legal opinions on organizational activities and disputes
  • Design compliance monitoring systems for key business units
