Requirements:
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus a Degree (NQF Level 7) in Law (LLB) recognized by SAQA. At least three (3) years of experience in a Legal Services environment. A valid driver’s license. Key skills include applied public law, legislative analysis, review and drafting, contract drafting and management. Knowledge of the Constitution, Public Finance Management Act, Public Service Act 103 of 1994, National Health Act 63 of 2003, and other relevant legislation, especially in the public health sector. Ability to provide sound and professional legal advice. Preference for candidates with extensive experience in litigation management. Must be willing to work under pressure and have computer literacy.
Duties:
- Manage legal advisory services. Provide legal opinions. Interpret and advise on departmental laws and regulations. Liaise with the State Attorney’s office on litigation matters, state law advisors, and other stakeholders on legal issues.
