Assistant Director: Inspections Position

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Position Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate/Senior Certificate (Grade 12 equivalent)
  • 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or Degree (NQF 7) in Records Management, Archival Studies, Information Science, or related qualification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2-3 years’ experience in archival/records management (including 2 years at Archivist level)
  • Knowledge of Public Service regulations and archival legislation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee implementation of records management systems across government bodies
  • Conduct inspections and audits of public records storage facilities
  • Develop and coordinate records management training programs
  • Manage public sector compliance with archival legislation and policies
  • Supervise NAAIRS database access control and maintenance
  • Contribute to national records management awareness initiatives
