Position Details

Position: Assistant Director: Human Resource Administration
Location: Witbank Hospital, Nkangala District
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3+ years supervisory experience)

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • NQF Level 6/7 qualification in HR Management/Public Administration/Public Management
  • 3 years’ managerial experience in HR environment
  • Proven PERSAL system expertise (minimum 4 certified courses)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Public Service regulations

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations Management

  • Oversee full recruitment cycle and staff appointments
  • Administer employee benefits (leave, pensions, housing allowances)
  • Manage staff transfers and terminations

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to HR policies and audit requirements
  • Prepare quarterly HR reports and statistical analysis
  • Implement performance management systems

Strategic Support

  • Contribute to organizational development plans
  • Identify staff training needs and development programs
  • Provide executive support to hospital leadership

Critical Competencies

  • Advanced understanding of public sector HR frameworks
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
