Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with reliable roadworthy vehicle (proof required)
• MFMA compliance certification or eligibility for dispensation
• 5 years’ electrical sector experience, including 3 years in supervision
• Expertise in project/financial management and relevant legislation
• Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite, MS Projects)
• Professional registration (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead energy section operations and staff management
• Manage prepaid meter systems and consumer data
• Investigate electricity misuse and meter tampering cases
• Prepare bulk consumer accounts and manage vendor contracts
• Address public inquiries professionally and timely
• Control capital budgets and submit performance reports
• Develop electrical bylaws and loss-reduction strategies
