Position: Assistant Director – Children in Vulnerable Situations

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Pretoria (with national travel requirements)

Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3+ years)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate with 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Nursing, Health Promotion or Social Sciences
  • Degree qualifications will receive priority consideration
  • Proven experience in child protection systems and vulnerable populations
  • In-depth knowledge of children’s rights frameworks and public health policies
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop national guidelines for child health in crisis situations
  • Coordinate interprovincial support programs for at-risk children
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across health and social development sectors
  • Monitor implementation of child protection standards nationwide
  • Prepare strategic reports for domestic and international stakeholders
