Position: Assistant Director – Children in Vulnerable Situations
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Pretoria (with national travel requirements)
Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3+ years)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate with 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Nursing, Health Promotion or Social Sciences
- Degree qualifications will receive priority consideration
- Proven experience in child protection systems and vulnerable populations
- In-depth knowledge of children’s rights frameworks and public health policies
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop national guidelines for child health in crisis situations
- Coordinate interprovincial support programs for at-risk children
- Lead stakeholder engagement across health and social development sectors
- Monitor implementation of child protection standards nationwide
- Prepare strategic reports for domestic and international stakeholders
