POSITION: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: ASSET MANAGEMENT
Position Details

- Education Requirements:
– Matric Certificate
– NQF Level 6/7 in Supply Chain Management/Logistics (or equivalent) - Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in asset management
- Location: Gauteng Province
- Department: Procurement & Asset Management
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee full asset lifecycle management (acquisition, maintenance, disposal)
- Implement and monitor Asset Management Strategy compliance
- Maintain accurate asset registers and barcode tracking systems
- Coordinate regular asset verification audits and reconciliation
- Manage asset movement documentation and loss control protocols
- Ensure compliance with PFMA regulations and financial reporting standards
- Supervise asset management team performance and development
Essential Requirements
- Proven track record in government asset management
- Comprehensive knowledge of PFMA and supply chain regulations
- Strong financial reconciliation capabilities
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in asset management software systems
