Position: Assistant Director – Acquisitions (Tender Administration & Vetting)

Position Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time Position
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree/Higher National Certificate (NQF 6/7) in Supply Chain Management, Economics or Accounting
  • Experience Needed: 3+ years in Supply Chain Management (2+ years supervisory experience)
  • Location: Gauteng Province
  • Department: Procurement & Supply Chain

Key Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proven experience in tender administration processes
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement regulations
  • Excellent supervisory and team management skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete tender lifecycle from advertisement to evaluation
  • Conduct supplier vetting and database management
  • Oversee tender documentation and compliance checks
  • Lead team performance management and skills development
  • Coordinate interdepartmental vetting processes
  • Ensure transparent tender opening and recording procedures
