Key Responsibilities

  • Act as academic representative for the Dean on Qwaqwa Campus
  • Provide leadership for teaching, research, and community engagement
  • Monitor academic standards and program viability
  • Support departmental heads and faculty development
  • Develop new academic programs aligned with community needs
  • Coordinate budget planning and resource allocation
  • Analyze academic performance data and prepare reports

Essential Requirements

  • PhD in Natural Sciences (NQF Level 10)
  • Current UFS faculty member at Senior Lecturer level or above
  • Proven academic leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated research publication record
