Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree (Law/Paralegal preferred)
  • Experience: 2-5 years in company secretarial role
  • Location: Cape Town CBD, Western Cape
  • Department: Corporate Administration & Governance

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Governance
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act and King IV principles
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise clients accordingly
  • Maintain statutory records and CIPC filings
Board Support
  • Prepare meeting agendas and documentation
  • Record minutes and track action items
  • Conduct board evaluations and draft reports
Client Services
  • Manage stakeholder communications
  • Prepare engagement proposals and invoices
  • Handle statutory registrations and share transactions

Candidate Requirements

  • Essential: CGISA qualification or LLB degree
  • Preferred: Consulting experience at board level
  • Technical Knowledge: JSE requirements, Trust Property Control Act
  • Skills: Minute taking, conflict resolution, project management
