Position Overview: Assistant Audit Manager

Location: Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Mid-Senior (3-5 years)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage external audit engagements from planning to completion
  • Supervise audit teams and ensure quality control
  • Analyze financial statements and assess compliance
  • Maintain client relationships and provide technical guidance
  • Implement International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Auditing or equivalent
  • Professional certification (CA(SA) preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ external audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of ISA standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities
