Role Summary

Coordinate financial activities related to Fixed Assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and optimizing asset management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Assets register according to IFRS and company policies.
  • Manage month-end/year-end processes: depreciation calculations, asset verification, and impairment assessments.
  • Prepare annual depreciation budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to improve asset management strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial practices with business goals.
  • Support the Cost Accountant as needed.

Requirements

  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 certification
  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years in financial/cost accounting or auditing
  • SAP experience (Fixed Assets/Projects modules preferred)
  • Valid medical fitness certificate and clean criminal record

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in IFRS (IAS 16 & IAS 36)
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and process improvement mindset
  • Effective communication across teams
