Description

The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) seeks an Asset Admin Officer to manage assets effectively. This role involves asset control, safeguarding, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Asset Control:
    • Keep records of quarterly asset counts and newly acquired assets.
    • Manage the asset verification process and maintain a register for asset movements with completed forms.
    • Handle departmental assets efficiently and economically.
    • Identify and manage obsolete, redundant, or damaged items for write-off and disposal.
    • Perform monthly asset spot checks and update the asset register accurately.
    • Update the fixed asset register in the system with relevant details.
    • Reconcile the inventory control sheet with the fixed asset register.
    • File and store documents securely.
    • Resolve audit queries on assets to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Assist in preparing quarterly and yearly asset disclosure notes.
    • Comply with supply chain management policies and the asset management plan.
  • Asset Safeguarding:
    • Ensure the safety of all assets monthly.
    • Conduct regular inspections for safety in buildings.
  • Occupational Health and Safety (OHS):
    • Follow up on all OHS decisions.
    • Comply with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Finance or a related field.
  • One year of relevant job experience.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes or asset management.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
