Murray & Roberts, a multinational project lifecycle group with over a century of expertise, seeks a qualified Artisan Rigger. We specialize in delivering optimized engineering solutions for global clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise teams to achieve safety and production targets
• Plan and execute rigging operations following safety protocols and cost guidelines
• Perform rope splicing and maintain winder/hoist systems
• Install/inspect mining infrastructure including sheave wheels and shaft components
• Conduct risk assessments and equipment maintenance programs
• Coordinate project handovers and operational reporting

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Valid Rigger Trade Certification
• EB Driver’s License
• 5+ years mining rigging experience

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in rope splicing and winder systems
• Reading technical drawings and risk assessments
• Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
