Position Details:

Basic Salary: R 301,845.75 – R 391,762.44 per annum
Total Package: R 425,472 – R 542,065 per annum (Inclusive of benefits)

Job Purpose:

Maintain and repair water meters, bulk water lines, and pump stations across the municipal area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and test water meters
• Maintain bulk water pipelines and pump stations
• Diagnose and repair plumbing system faults
• Supervise team members and coordinate work schedules
• Complete maintenance reports and digital records
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations (OHS Act)
• Operate specialized equipment for pipe repairs

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid plumbing trade certificate
• 2+ years’ plumbing maintenance experience
• Code C1 driver’s license with PrDP
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Proficiency in two Western Cape official languages
