The Role

Perform precision work on drive train components, including dismantling, building, and testing various units. Ensure high levels of reliability, availability, cost efficiency, and performance.

Key Performance Areas

  • Carry out mechanical maintenance operations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, perform corrective actions, support planning and preparation, monitor outcomes, and document results, including root causes, time spent, and improvements.
  • Work according to standard operating procedures.
  • Meet maintenance targets.
  • Follow quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Communicate operational status and any issues.
  • Adhere to safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements and personal development.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
  • Section 13 Trade Certificate (with apprenticeship contract or portfolio of evidence).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant drifter experience.
  • Knowledge of drifter parts identification and wearable part analysis.
