Position Overview: Artisan Fitter

Location: Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal
Employment Type: Full Time
Department: Engineering/Technical

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical Fitting/Fitting & Turning)
• N2 Technical Certificate with Institutionalised Training Programme completion
• 3+ years post-qualification experience in fitting/turning
• Working knowledge of planned maintenance systems
• Availability for standby duties and overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with dewatering mill maintenance
• Familiarity with SAP systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance on mills and extraction equipment
• Conduct equipment inspections and lubrication programs
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Maintain bearing temperatures within operational limits
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Document maintenance activities and equipment performance
