Artisan Fitter

Overview

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment in the plant. Also handle shutdown work. All tasks follow our world-class manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate (including Maths and Science)
  • N2 or N3 in Engineering
  • Trade-specific Artisan qualification (Red Seal in Fitting or Fitting and Turning)

Experience

  • 2-5 years in a maintenance role as an Artisan
  • Strong knowledge of working with motors and pumps

Duties

OHS Act Compliance:

  • Follow all safety laws and regulations.

Responsible for MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures):

  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and strategic maintenance tasks.
  • Perform PPM and strategic maintenance checks.
  • Do detailed fault finding on key equipment.
  • Manage spare parts procurement and use.
  • Report downtime and incidents for strategic equipment.

5S Principles:

  • Promote and apply 5S practices (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the workplace.
