Artisan Diesel Mechanic UG (REF: IVP-ENG-2501)

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver’s License

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant TMM experience in a mining environment

Role Requirements:

  • Maintain and repair the diesel fleet, handle mechanical issues, and perform routine inspections on equipment
  • Service TMM, diesel generators, and diesel standby systems
  • Replace, test, and inspect components
  • Follow job and repair procedures
  • Maintain housekeeping to international standards
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Work to reduce equipment downtime and increase productivity
  • Inspect all equipment before use
  • Ensure tools and equipment are safe and in good working order
