Artisan Bricklayer (5 Positions)

Johannesburg Water provides essential water services to communities across Gauteng, maintaining 12,369 km of water networks and 128 reservoirs. We deliver 1.6 billion liters of water daily while ensuring responsible wastewater management.

Position Type:

Location:

Johannesburg, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily documentation including job cards, inspection sheets, and vehicle logs
  • Implement safety protocols per OHASA/SANS regulations
  • Construct/maintain water infrastructure: walls, chambers, culverts, and concrete structures
  • Perform building maintenance including plastering, tiling, and repairs
  • Supervise excavation work with proper shoring/safety measures
  • Coordinate with teams and maintain public relations

Requirements:

  • Grade 10/N1 equivalent (NQF 2) with Bricklaying Trade Certificate
  • 3+ years construction experience (bricklaying, paving, concrete work)
  • Valid Code 10 Driver’s License with PrDP
  • Basic supervisory experience
  • Physical fitness for manual labor
