Position Details

• Employment Type: Contract
• Education Requirement: Matric/NQF Level 4 + N3 Millwright Certificate
• Experience Needed: Minimum 3 years as Millwright Assistant
• Location: Villiers, Free State
• Department: Engineering/Technical
• License: Valid Code B Driver’s License

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in production/FMCG environment (advantageous)
• Boilermaking and welding skills preferred
• Physical fitness for manual tasks and equipment handling
• Availability for overtime/weekend work and emergency callouts
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
• Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical/electrical systems

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Conduct equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
• Fabricate and install machinery components
• Maintain facility infrastructure and plumbing systems
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
• Document maintenance activities and spares management
• Support production teams with technical solutions
• Train junior team members when required

Work Environment

This role involves physical work in agricultural production facilities, requiring adaptability to varying shift patterns and operational demands.
