We are looking for skilled artisan assistants to support maintenance and technical work in our facilities. You will help with repairs and upkeep to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in facility management, welding, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Knowledge of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions, including manuals and procedures.
  • Skills in using various tools and making the best use of resources like materials.
  • Ability to work alone or in a team.
  • Commitment to safety standards.
  • Experience with conventional lathe or milling machines.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
  • Willingness to help in the sub-district, work overtime, do standby duties (including weekends and holidays), and handle heavy equipment.
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights, such as on ladders or scaffolding.

Main Duties:

  • Provide maintenance and technical support to institutions.
  • Repair and maintain installations, machinery, equipment, workshop tools, and garden tools.
  • Assist in the workshop and perform standby duties.

Salary and Benefits:

R 193 359 per year, plus benefits like a 13th cheque, pension fund contribution, housing allowance, and medical aid allowance.
