Position Summary:
Perform and supervise construction, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, electrical installations, and related infrastructure across university campuses.

Key Details

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Qualification: Trade Test + Grade 12
  • Experience: 3+ years in commercial/industrial environments
  • Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng

Core Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including motors, thermostats, and ductwork
  • Develop maintenance schedules and emergency repair protocols
  • Calculate heat loads, airflow rates, and energy-efficient system requirements
  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act and ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Manage equipment inventory and maintenance reporting
  • Provide technical support across university facilities as needed

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Trade Test certifications in both Airconditioning & Electrical
  • Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification
  • Proven experience with HVAC system troubleshooting and gas handling
  • Knowledge of occupational health/safety regulations
