Position Overview

Preserve Western Cape’s digital heritage through professional records management. Ensure compliance with Provincial Archives Act (Act No. 3 of 2005) while protecting government and public information assets.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-year Diploma/Degree in Information Management Systems or related field
  • Valid Code B driving license (accommodations for applicants with disabilities)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage approval & maintenance of electronic records systems
  • Conduct system audits and risk assessments
  • Develop compliance guidelines and best practices
  • Manage disaster recovery protocols for digital assets
  • Provide technical guidance to government departments

Essential Competencies

  • Expertise in archival legislation and digital preservation
  • Strong technical skills in records management systems
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with digital preservation technologies (preferred)
