About the Role
We seek a qualified Architect to lead health infrastructure projects, ensuring effective delivery of capital works and maintenance programs in alignment with provincial objectives.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- 3+ years post-qualification experience
- Professional registration with SACAP
- Valid Code B driver’s license
- Comprehensive knowledge of:
- Construction legislation (OHS Act, SANS, NBR)
- Project management principles
- Financial management processes
Core Responsibilities
- Manage regional health infrastructure projects from concept to completion
- Oversee procurement processes and contract administration
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
- Develop asset management strategies for health facilities
- Ensure compliance with all building regulations and safety standards
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software
