Job Description

Motus Toyota Strydom Park is looking for an Administrator: Service Advisor (Non-Technical) to report to the Service Manager.

In this role you will keep the service department running smoothly, provide excellent customer service, and support the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow between service advisors, foreman, and customers.
• Update customers on all service bookings.
• Communicate with all service staff.
• Ensure vehicle security: lock vehicles in workshops and keys in key‑safe.
• Check that vehicles are parked outside and keys are locked in the key‑safe each morning.
• Confirm that job cards are signed off by technicians.
• Assist technicians with quotes promptly.
• Support the controller, foreman, service manager, and reception.
• Follow up on parts ordered for the workshop.
• Book vehicles for service.
• Ensure vehicles with specific complaints are test‑driven with a foreman or quality controller before the client leaves.
• Record and report any comebacks.
• Manage work‑in‑progress and outstanding cash daily and submit to the service manager.
• Order parts using the parts ordering system.
• Keep your area clean at all times.
• Promote and adhere to safety standards.
• Sell accessories and additional work.
• Prepare quotations for approval.
• Follow up on sales that were not completed.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Service Advisor.
• Toyota Service Advisor certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• Clear criminal record.
• Motor industry experience is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
