Position Overview:
Job Type: Full Time
Minimum Education: Matric (NQF 4) with Math/Accounting + Financial Certificate
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance (NQF 8)
Experience Required: 3-4 years in relevant field
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Department: Financial Administration
Core Responsibilities:
– Manage daily cash operations and reconciliation
– Prepare quarterly audit reports for financial discrepancies
– Handle public inquiries (in-person and phone)
– Maintain accurate financial records and cash books
– Oversee office stationery inventory and distribution
Required Qualifications:
– Valid driver’s license
– 3 years’ experience in financial administration
– Proficiency in standard office software
– Strong numerical and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Financial Management
– Municipal financial system experience
– 4+ years in public sector finance roles
