Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence. Willingness to travel within the district.
  • Appropriate experience and knowledge of Human Resources, including Salary Administration, Service Conditions, Personnel Management, Performance Management, HR Development, and Recruitment and Selection.
  • Knowledge and experience with PERSAL.
  • Computer skills: MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures, and practices related to Human Resource Management.

Duties:

  • Administer and ensure effective implementation of HRM policies and PERSAL transactions related to personnel provisioning, personnel, and salary administration.
  • Supervise Administration Clerks to ensure the Human Resource Section functions effectively.
  • Handle appointments, service terminations, salary administration, general service conditions, audit of leave and personnel files, debt management, pension administration, pay sheets, OSD and Grade Progression, performance management, and related reports.
  • Maintain an effective Recruitment and Selection service.
  • Provide an effective Human Resource Development service.
  • Offer support to management and personnel.

Salary: R 325,101 per annum, plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
